Focus Your Mind

Join me for the next thirty-one days as I join other bloggers around the world for the #Write31Days challenge of October 2018.

This is my fifth year to participate in the challenge, and honestly one I was not planning to do.

In 2014, I wrote on 31 days of Living
In 2015, I wrote on 31 days to Discipline
In 2016, I wrote on 31 Days of Learning to Trust
In 2017, I wrote on 31 Days of a Journey of Growth

This year my attention has been drawn to focus. There are so many things that compete for my attention. I realized if I didn’t learn to focus on the things that I feel God has call me to, I will spin my wheels and never accomplish anything God has called me to. Focusing my mind on those things that He has placed before me instead of chasing after things that distract me is the focus I have for this month of writing.

2018Write31Days

As I mentioned, this was not something that I had planned to do, but I keep feeling pulled to participate. I will link up with my #FMFParty family of writers and use the prompts provided. With 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes, they provide 31 one-word writing prompts and challenge writers to free write for five minutes flat on each provided word. This will be a single launching page that will contain links to all 31 days. As I blog, I will change the prompt to reflect the title of the writing for that day. I hope you will journey with me, and if you like blog with me, as I commit to writing these next 31 days.

Write 31 Days is an online writing challenge started by home blogger, Myquillyn Smith (The Nester), and now hosted by Crystal Stine, where bloggers pick one topic and write a post on that topic every day in October. We all link up just once on day one so that we can see all the topics and read the ones that most interest us. The link will stay open through October 5th for late comers but will be closed after that.

As a writer, 31 Days challenges you to go deeper into one topic.

As a reader, 31 Days will most likely have a few topics that you are curious about, it’s a great time to get to know some new bloggers.

To read the new 31 Days Topics starting in October simply click on either the “Blogging” or “Social Media” options in the “Linking Up” dropdown menu above and you’ll be taken to a plethora of wonderful ideas. Enjoy!
