“Let us be concerned for one another, to help one another to show love and to do good. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer.” Hebrews 10:24-25
Community is an important part of our walk with God. How can you help someone without the sharing of need? How do we share need without some relationship. As a believer in Christ, that fellowship is generally born in the local church.
During COVID-19 from 2020 to 2021, many churches chose or were forced to go online. There was benefit to that as on some level it made church available during some difficult times. Finding the convenience and time saving benefit of church online, many believers have continued in the manner of “church attendance” even as the world has opened back up.

There is some encouragement from the worship through song or through the message. That is one direction. We have to meet together in order to show concern, be helpful and to love and do good to others. That is a two way relationship we don’t get from church online.
As the stress that people face daily increases it is easy to want to avoid it all. Our flesh responds to isolate or pretend like everything is okay. The enemy attacks our mind, that we are the only one, no one else care or understands.
God tells us press in to help each other. Come together, don’t give up on those who are pulling back. Be concerned when you see your neighbor missed service. Reach out to each other, see what is going on and let them know they were missed. When you know someone is facing tough times, love them through it. Walk along side them. Encourage others and let others know when you are going through something.
We have to do away with as Casting Crowns sings “The stained glass masquerade.” We can not pretend like everything is okay when it is not. Don’t give up by trying to walk alone through things. We need to be comfortable sharing the struggles we face with our emotions, our relationships, and in our spiritual journey. They are all part of life that we are meant to walk through together.
Don’t give up on coming together with brothers and sisters in Christ. God designed us to come together and support each other. We need to bear others burdens. We need to share our needs with others. We are the church called to fellowship regularly. This is how God planned it to be.
