And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:3
I didn’t do marriage the right way, I don’t have that bride and groom preparing for their marriage frame of reference. I lives with my husband before we married. When we did decide to marry, we made the decision, grabbed our family took them to lunch and made the announcement. Then we went and got married all in the same day. There was no shopping for dresses, bridal showers, planning, it was just “let’s do this.”
However, I think about preparing for a new child. There is so much preparation that goes into it. Not only in preparing the physical environment that the child will come into, but even in the body that is carrying the child. Forty weeks of preparation. The female body is prepared for the growing child inside, as well as the birthing process and to be able to nurture the child.
In the natural, there is the preparation in making sure that you have everything you need for the child. Buying diapers, clothing, and bedding. Preparing car seats for travel. Deciding on feeding method. Regardless of what type of environment that the child will be born into, there is preparation.
Jesus, the Bridgegoom, has went to prepare a place for us. While I’m being prepared here on earth, He is preparing for my arrival in Heaven.
God is preparing for us also. He is a Master preparer. He prepared His will for each person before the foundation of the world.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
He is preparing an eternal place for us, even after He prepared a way for us to be reconciled back to Him through Christ Jesus.
Prayer – Lord, are You are prepareeing a place for me, help me to do my part. Help me to prepare by seeking You daily and being obedient to You.
