Justice and Courage

On the other hand I am filled with power— With the Spirit of the Lord— And with justice and courage To make known to Jacob his rebellious act, Even to Israel his sin.“ ‭‭Micah‬ ‭3‬:‭8‬ ‭‬

Micah was a prophet of God in a land of false prophets and the people of Israel who were living in sin and rebellion. Micah was filled with the power of Holy Spirit. He was looking for justice standing in courage as he spoke a word of correction to God’s people.

Sometimes God has His chosen stand physically alone in a difficult place. We like to think that our walks as Christians are to be easy or comfortable. Yet, most of the persons in the Bible dealt with adversities of various kinds. Difficult situations grow us. Growth doesn’t grow in a place of comfort. Growth only occurs after we get past our own comfort and fear. Micah was willing to do that. As God’s children we are empowered to do the same.

Lord, thank You for examples of people who were willing to stand alone. Help me to stand strong in Your calling on my life. When I feel weak, remind me that You are my strength. Let me stand courageous for justice in the areas You have called me to. Let me move past the comfort and into the growth You
