Call upon the Name of the Lord

“As the scripture says, “Everyone who calls out to the Lord for help will be saved.”” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭13‬ ‭

Christianity is different from every other religion in that Jesus is the only way to God. I have noticed that on general society doesn’t mind if we talk freely about God. When we talk about Jesus that is where people start getting offended.

Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Jesus is the Son of God, and the Son of Man. He was born to the virgin Mary, impregnated by Holy Spirit. He lived a sinless life. He willingly sacrificed His life to become sin for us. Through His death and resurrection He made the way for us to be reconciled back to God.

There are often times I hear people say they are too far gone for God to save. That is forever untrue. That is a lie from the pit of hell. It is pride, as if our sin is bigger than the price Christ paid. Pure arrogance on the part of the one claiming it.

Jesus said on the cross “it is finished.” He paid the price for all sin, once, and for all. The only requirement is that we accept the free gift. We call on the name of the Lord Jesus as our Savior. Simple requirement, not always easy to do as we have to get out of our own way.

Lord, that You for teaching me that I could call on Your name and be saved when I was eight years old. I pray for any that don’t know you, would have blinders removed from their eyes and and see the need they have for You. Allow them to call on the name of the Lord and be saved. In Jesus name. Amen.
