Strength and the Blessing of Peace

May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭

It is in my weakness that
God’s strength shines through.
So why do we as Christians try
to hide our weakness? We should not fear our weaknesses. We should instead boast in them as Paul did for in our weakness, His strength is shown. If I am strong I might try to do things in my own strength, without relying on God. That is foolishness.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant? If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭29‬-‭30‬ ‭

God has given strength to His people. He sent Jesus to die for our sins. His Spirit, the same Spirit that rose Christ from the grave lives in us.

We have been blessed with
a peace that surpasses all
understanding. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ‭

Jesus also gave us His peace. Peace is a fruit of Holy Spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭23‬

The enemy tries to come and take our peace. We have to keep our eyes on the Lord and not give in to the pressure of the enemy. “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬

We are blessed beyond measure, even if we fail to live in those blessings. “You are wonderful, and while everyone watches, you store up blessings for all who honor and trust you.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭31‬:‭19‬ ‭.

The blessings have been stored up. God is awaiting to give those to us. We have to keep ourselves in a position to receive from Him.

Prayer- Lord thank You for Your
strength. Thank You for Your
blessings. Thank You for Your
peace. Help me to walk in them. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
