He Chose

But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:27-29‬

Shame is a powerful thing. It causes people to respond in ways I never would consider under normal circumstances. It often spirals out of control, as one bad decision leads to another.

Yet, Jesus took the shame of the cross for me. He tells me to serve, if I want to lead. He tells me to accept my weaknesses, for it is there His strength is shown. He used those the world rejected to build the Church and spread the message of the Kingdom.

It is not in who we are, but in whose we are. It is not in what we have done, but in what He has done. We are foolish, He is wise. We are weak, He is strong. We are lowly and He is the high King.

Prayer – Lord , thank You for using me. Thank You for taking my shame. Thank You for being my strength and giving me wisdom. Thank You for making something out of nothing. you are an amazing God.
