Complete Peace

Philippians 4:7 Then God’s shalom, passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with the Messiah Yeshua.

God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding will guard my heart and mind in safety when I am in union with Christ.

For the most part, I feel like I have peace in my life.  My mind immediately goes to the death of my mother and the peace that I had as God walked me through that time.  It still amazes me the peace that surrounded me.

Yet, I realize I don’t let God guard every area of my life and mind.  There are areas that I do not have peace.  Sometimes, I don’t realize that there is not peace in an area until it is pointed out to me by someone else or it is staring me in the face as I help someone else in a similar area and I recognize myself in their responses.  I am so used to my “normal”, I don’t see the lack of peace.

Prayer: Lord reveal to me the areas in my life where I do not have Your complete peace.  Help me to grow Your peace in my life.
