On the shoulders of the priest were the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. They were also written over their hearts.
The Leviticus priest had a responsibility to carry the weight of Israel on their shoulders and to keep Israel close to their heart regardless of the burden.
The people of Israel went from feeling oppressed by the Egyptians to living each day by the guidance of God and in His presence.
Prayer – Lord help me to stop living in oppression but instead to stay in Your presence and let my steps be ordained by God.
