”May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you.“ Psalms 25:21
Today integrity has been the theme in my devotional time. The commentary in my Founder’s Bible said “integrity exists when there is consistency between what one thinks, says, and does, when actions actually match words.“

It’s a simple thought, but one that is needed, especially when we are waiting on the Lord. My actions should line up with what I am saying. For example, I can’t say I’m waiting on God and then look for ways to make it happen on my own. I can’t say I’m waiting on God and take things into my own hands. When I wait on God, it is with patience and trust. My integrity comes when I’m saying it with my words and living it out with my actions. My honesty comes in speaking the truth of what I am living.
Lord, let me always walk in integrity and honesty, especially when I wait on You. Forgive me for the times I haven’t and instead have tried to do my own thing while pretending to wait on You.
