Title: The Lord's Prayer

‘Our Father who is in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
‘Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
‘Give us this day our daily bread.
‘And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’ Matthew 6:9-13

Many know this as the Lord’s Prayer. It is really Jesus’ outline for teaching His disciples to prey on their own. I don’t believe He meant for it to be some form of recited ritual. Instead, I believe He wanted us to know to start our prayers with honor to God. We need to ensure our prayers are in line with the will of Heaven, pulling His will down to Earth with our request. We can then turn attention to praying about our needs, asking for Him to provide. We ask for forgiveness but also acknowledge those we need to extend forgiveness to. We need empowerment from Holy Spirit to a stand temptations and the evil forces in this world. And in the end, all glory belongs to the Lord Forever.

Lord, thank You heavenly Father for who you are, for your love, your kindness, your salvation, and faithfulness. Lord let Your will be done on Earth and in my life. I ask only for Your presence today work in me and through me. Forgive me of any hidden sins and reveal to me if there is any unforgiveness in me. Help me, through the power of Holy Spirit to overcome temptations in my life. Help me to not give any doorway or opening to the enemy. I give all glory, honor, and praise to You. In Jesus name Amen
