Make Known

“Turn to my reproof,
Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you;
I will make my words known to you. Proverbs 1:23

The Spirit of wisdom talked about in Proverbs 1 is Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives the correction and conviction of God to every person. He makes God’s word known to us.

Often people say they have a hard time reading the Bible. I admit it can be intimidating with all the books. The laws can feel redundant and at the same time overwhelming. It can be confusing to read the Old Testament and know that we are now under the new covenant and the grace of God. It’s hard to understand that the Old Testament is still relevant to our Christian walk. We need the wisdom of Holy Spirit to show us revelation as we read. We need the correction. We need the understanding of God’s word to be made known to us and that is one of the roles of Holy Spirit in believers.

Lord thank You for Your Spirit of wisdom that was poured out on believers in this world. Bring me correction and conviction. Teach me Your word. Give me understanding. In Jesus name Amen.
