Helper and Teacher

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. John 14:26

Jesus let the disciples know that Holy Spirit would be helper, a teacher, and a reminder of all things that he had spoke. As a child I was taught these things about the person of Holy Spirit, although I didn’t understand relationship to Holy Spirit.

I know Holy Spirit is Helper. He helps me to be able to live the life I could not live without him. I know Holy Spirit as Teacher. He taught me things I didn’t learn in the natural. Holy Spirit has brought to my remembrance and continues to bring things to remembrance that I learned as a child and things I have learned since I came back to Christ. There are times I don’t remember things I should know, (Like the temperature and the length of time to cook certain foods that I have cooked for decades. I always have to call my sister for instructions.) Yet I can remember scriptures I memorized as a child and that I taught to my children, the youngest of which is 26 years old now. That is Holy Spirit. He is there to help us, teach us, and bring to our rememberance if we will just look to Him.

Holy Spirit thank You for bringing to my remembrance all the things that You have taught me in my life. Thank You for all of Your help throughout my life. You really are the best Helper.
