“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
Can you picture the Lord rejoicing over you with exuberant joy? Or quieting your heart with His love? Can you imagine Him singing loudly over you, His precious child? It is hard to picture an all powerful God in that light.
I immediately picture when my children were younger. I would sing to them. I would dance around with them in my arms. I can picture snuggling them up in my lap and just loving being in their presence. It was my joy as a parent.
Do we allow God those moments with us? Do we allow ourselves to feel that love His has for us? Can we quiet ourselves enough to hear Him singing? Can we calm ourselves enough to feel the embrace as He scopes us up to dance? Can we still ourselves enough to allow Him to quiet ourselves in His love? He wants to have that same joy with us. Can you picture Him with you?
