Banners

May we shout for joy over your salvation,
    and in the name of our God set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions! Psalm 20:5

I was given this scripture as a joy card from a coworker this morning. There is such a celebration when a person becomes a new believer. We stake claim, but so does God. It opens the door for Him to hear our petitions. It is easy to lose the excitement that comes from new believers, but when you are around a new believer that excitement is so contagious. I think its why we should keep witnessing and trying to allow Holy Spirit to work through us to bring others to Christ. We can shout for joy and celebrate in their excitement, even as they set His banner up in their life.

Lord, I want that excitement back. New believers, want to see the lost set up their banners for you and see our banner of love flying over them. I want to see answered prayers!
