Enduring in Love and Faith

Here is the perseverance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Revelations 14:12

We are called to preserve or endure by keeping the commandments and faith in Jesus. We are not under the law, but under grace; Love is our command. We are commanded to love God with all our heart and love our neighbor. Jesus said on these two commands the rest of the law can hang. If we do these two things, we will obey the commands that were given to Moses.

Love is the action that will keep us enduring. God is love. His love empowers us to keep going when we feel like giving up. Our love for others will keep propelling us forward, when in and of ourself we would rather quit.

Faith is the other. We know it is impossible to please God without faith. Faith keeps us believing until the promise has come.

As followers of Christ, we are all saints, even when we don’t feel like it. We can endure. We will endure.

Prayer – Lord, thank You for Your Word, the commandments we are called to keep. Help me to obey and to love You and everyone else with the same love You have for me. Thank You for Jesus. I pray that you would continue to grow my faith. In Jesus name, Amen.
