Committed Works

Commit your work to the Lord,
and your plans will be established.
Proverbs 16:3

It is a new year, so of course I start it committing my plans to God. Scripture says it is my works that I commit. Then he will establish the plans. Do the work and he establishes the plan. When I think about what I want to do in the next year it includes:

  • Start a new job
  • Increase my hours with counseling
  • Write more
  • Give God more focus in my life through prayer, study and service
  • Do relationship training
  • Prayer group
  • Go to Greece and do the footsteps of Paul Tour
  • Blog three times a week
  • Go visit each of my kids
  • Get to the beach or get a pool
  • Payoff debt
  • Climb the hill
  • Exercise more and eat less
  • Plug into serving

I do want to do these things to honor God, but more importantly I want to stay established in Him. I want my life to bring glory to God and cause others to seek relationship with Him.

Lord, I commit all my works to You and I ask You to establish my ways in 2022.
