The Cross

“For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are saved it is the power of God.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:18‬

If I stop and really try to rationalize the cross, it makes no sense. It seems absurd – one man reconciling all men back to God. Jesus was a willing sacrifice. He lived a sinless life. He died on the cross. He rose from the dead.

It doesn’t make sense. Faith doesn’t ask me to understand. Faith asks me to believe. Faith asks me to believe in the power of God. Faith asks me to accept the gift of the cross. It asks me to accept salvation.
