Finding Favor, a Prayer of Magnitude

Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me now your ways, that I may know you in order to find favor in your sight. Consider too that this nation is your people.” Exodus 33:13

I can think of no better way to start a new year, except a prayer of this magnitude for God to show me His ways, that I may know Him more and that He would consider the nation of his people. As I start on this new year and begin the fast I am called to, I realize that there are many things I want to ask on for.

I want to ask for my nephew’s health, the end of this COVID pandemic, the godly wisdom in this nation’s leadership and integrity for them to walk in it. I want to see my husband serve God. I want to ask for direction and connection with a church body and others who will help me acclimate to this new community and continue to go closer with Him. I want to ask that He will help me grow in the purpose that He made me for.

I know this year is about stepping out. I can see all of these answered as He shows me His ways and as I know Him more. He is healer. His is Provider. He is ruler. He is peace. He is comforter. He is the God of reconciliation and restoration. I know He wants good and not evil for me and for all of His children.

Lord, I give this year 2021 to You. Help me to see Your ways more clearly. Help me to walk in Your ways. Guide my steps and give me the courage to step out where You lead. I want to know You more. I want to see others and situations through Your eyes. I want to be closer to You to know You more intimately. I want to see Your will done on this earth in and through me. Help me to operate in Your creative power. Help me to walk in the boundaries that You have for me. I want to speak only truth and lead others to You. Help me to be aware of the needs around me then step out in faith through prayer and action following Your guidance and direction. Let me be open to more. In Jesus name amen.

The habit I need more of in my life is prayer, especially in Holy Spirit.

The divine rhythm I need is an obedience. I am such a task oriented person and yet when God gives me a task to do I still argue first period my word this year is stepping out and that is the divine rhythm I want to practice.
