More Than

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭

Just the first part of this a scripture is enough to make you want to shout! Lift your hands up and shout! Shout about God’s great mercy. Shout about being born again. Shout about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

That is all wonderful and certainly more than I deserve. God though, being a a God of great blessing has done more. He has made an inheritance that is pure and everlasting. He has this in heaven for me! He has it for each of us that are born again into His family. What an amazing God I serve.

Prayer – Lord, thank You for Your mercy that is new every morning. Thank You for salvation and new birth into Your Kingdom. Thank You for the resurrection. I look forward to the inheritance You have created me and forever being with You. Lord, help me to share Your goodness now that we may share of Your goodness together later.
