Complete Freedom

“For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬ ‭‬

Christ paid the complete price for us to be free at Calvary. So when I carry sorrows, grief, worries, sickness, disease or sin, I have placed the yoke of slavery back on myself. I have made a choice to weigh myself down.

When I take communion, I ask the Lord to help me walk in the fullness of knowledge of this finished work of the cross. I want to understand fully what is provided through Christ’s body and blood, the sacrifice completed on the cross. Not just for me, but for my family and for those I work with, The Church, those entrusted to my influence.

Prayer – Lord, let me not yoke myself with the slavery You have already paid to set me free from. I know You have paid the price for complete freedom. I lift up Your body and those in my sphere of influence that they too would walk in the truth of the finished work of the cross.
