Peace

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:5-7

Gentle is not a word I would use to describe myself. I am a big girl with a big personality, I have a serious demeanor and have been told I am intimidating, even when I smile and try to be gentle. I want God to be seen through me to all people I come in contact with, and I know God is gentle. When I think about gentle, I think about peace.

It is when we combine where we are, with where God is, that peace comes. Yes, we need to be reasonable. Yes, we don’t need to be anxious. We are called to prayer, ask God for what we want and need, and give thanks to God. We bring Him in to our every day lives, then peace comes to guard our hearts and minds. We need Him in every aspect of our lives. He wants us to join with Him in our every day life.

Prayer – Lord, thank You for inviting me to let You join me in doing life. Thank You for making it known that You desire to be included. I do not get anxious alot and you’ve taught me to be more reasonable. I want prayer to be my first thought, asking You, thanking You. I have Your peace. I probably Lord need to guard my heart and mind more. Keep me aware.
