The Light Shines On

“And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.” Daniel‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭

I was watching something recently that stated you cannot tell if a star that you’re looking at is still burning, or if it has already burned out, when you see the light.

I feel like it is the same with people who lead others to live a righteous life. Their lives shine with the Light within them. The light also lives on to others they touch. The wise life shines, but when we are pouring into others, the light continues even after we have died.

I think of the amazing people have poured into my life over the past 42 years. Even as a two year old people were pouring into my life. They were sharing their light with me. Many have passed on, but that Light they shared with me still burns brightly.

Yes, I wasted many years; despite the fact my light was hidden during that time, it did not burn out. I was still burning. God did not waste the light.
