“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18 ESV
It was the revelation of who Christ was that Jesus said He would build His church upon. Peter went from that revelation to denying that He even knew Christ. Then when the Holy Spirit came upon Him, He was able to walk in the power of that initial revelation.
I had a vision some years back of people coming to Northwest Arkansas and their lives being transformed without ever stepping foot in the church. Then carrying Him back to wherever they came from. I was reminded of this is I read about Peter’s shadow healing people.

“And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them. The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.” Acts 5:14-16
We need the same revelation of who Christ is and His Spirit to walk in His power today. If we walk in the presence of the Holy Spirit, if we allow his power to flow in and through us, nothing would be impossible.
“And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse.” Mark 5:25-26
How often do we spend ALL that we have and still suffer because we have an idea of how to get our healing? When she was left with nothing just a touch of His garment in faith healed her. God will take our nothing combined with faith and create the miraculous. But oh, what He could do with all and our touch of faith.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,”
Ephesians 3:20 ESV
His power is able to do greater things than Christ and, the power that raised Christ from the dead lives in us!!!
““Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12 ESV
What are we believing for? What are the thoughts rolling around in our hands we are quietly asking God for? He wants to move, he wants to do great things. We must be willing to pursue and expect great things.
Prayer – Lord, saturate us with your presence. Give us a revelation of you. Help us to seek your presence above all else that we may walk out the extraordinary miracles you want to do through us.
