Found in the Word

Passage – and be like newborn babies, thirsty for the pure milk of the Word; so that by it, you may grow up into deliverance. 1 Peter 2:2

Restated in my own words – Just as milk is a newborn baby’s only source of nourishment so they hunger for it, so we should thirst for the word so that we can grow in freedom.

Application to my life – The Word of God is truth. It is what frees us, but we can’t be freed if we don’t know the Word. There are times I hunger for the Word more than other times. Today I’ve been led to start a fast, yet I’m not sure what it is for. I will seek God’s word for the answer. It is the truth. It will be bring freedom only if for the knowing of the purpose. I long to abide in God’s presence. He can be found in the Word. I long for fellowship. He can be found in the Word.

Your response back to God – Lord, I want to thirst and hunger for You more than anything else. I want to seek You. But I don’t just want to seek You, I want to abide. I want to stay in Your presence not just for today but always.
