Power Revealed

Passage – With this in view, we always pray for you that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill by his power every good purpose of yours and every action stemming from your trust. In this way, the name of our Lord Yeshua will be glorified in you, and you in him, in accordance with the grace of our God and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah. 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12

Restated in my own words – God’s power is revealed through my purpose and action based on my trust in Him. His name is glorified and His grace is given.

Application to my life – I will only obey God to the extent that I trust Him. Without obedience to His voice, His purpose will never be revealed. Though the calling may be there, without trust I will not act because I won’t believe I can access that power. God receives glory when I trust and obey.

What areas of my life am I failing to truly trust and obey? I know I need to pray more and write more. Those are two areas where I know God has called me to press in and areas that I have not been giving myself to as much as I could.

Your response to God – Lord I want to bring glory to Your name by operating in the fullness of what You have purposed as my calling and put me here to do. I want to say I’ll start when I’ll get the house arranged but that is a cop out. I need to start now, where I am. I can talk to You anywhere regardless of what I’m doing. I can make the time to do what You have told me to do. I might just write for 30 minutes but I can do it if I put my mind to what You have called me to do. I will do it now. We’ve made morning devotions work. I will let You show me where I can carve out prayer and writing time. Thank You for Your patience and grace. In Jesus name I asked for guidance amen
