Watered Down

Passage –  I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, Galatians 1:6

Restated in my own words – Paul was shocked that people were turning from the Gospel of Grace to some distorted version of the gospel.

Application to my life – I want to believe the fullness of the gospel and live according to it. The truth is I have accepted some water down truths and distortions that I need to allow God to correct.

My daughter and I were talking about the Holy Spirit tonight and how much of my life I grew up not understanding the power or speaking in tongues that comes from the Holy Spirit. I knew Him as Teacher, Counselor, and Guide but not as a source of power. I did not understand speaking in tongues at all. I would like to know Holy Spirit better and grow in my prayer language and overall comfort of tongues. I am no longer scared of them but I need the Holy Spirit to show me more and that means taking time to spend in His presence.

Your response to God – Lord I pray for a deeper understanding and surrender to the Holy Spirit. I want to walk closer with You in every aspect, not just the areas where I feel comfortable. Grow me Lord. Please help us find a solution for this beeping.
