I close my eyes and see an elegantly wrapped gift with a crimson mesh ribbon neatly tied around it on all sides. There is not a single flaw in the wrapping of the gift. I can only look at it with awe. It is one of those presents that you just can’t bring yourself to open because it is perfect.
Crimson in the Bible represents sin. It also represents The Blood. The same color that represents the darkness in me, represents the only thing that can wash it away. White in the Bible represents purity and righteousness.
Jesus is the perfect gift. He became my sin. His Blood is the only thing that can take way my sin. It is only in Christ that I am righteous. Yet God does not want me to keep Christ, His perfect gift unopened. His gift is meant to opened. His gift is for personal and practical application. His gift is meant to be shared with others. He wants us to unwrap the gift, and when we do we will find that He is a gift that keeps on giving. He is a gift that we will keep discovering. He is a gift that is indescribable.
