You never have enough

Scripture – He who loves money shall never have enough. The foolishness of thinking that wealth brings happiness! Ecclesiastes 5:10

Thoughts about what this Scripture means – When your focus is money you will never have enough. It is foolish to think that money will buy happiness.

Application to my life – This scripture reminds me of Tim’s family and how money destroyed them. They each got their focus on money and ended up sacrificing their family trying to get more. Your lifestyle becomes much more expensive as you obtain wealth. If that is Your focus you never have enough.

Parents who sacrifice for their family for time working and the focus of money make foolish decisions that leave a child feeling unloved and unwanted. I have been guilty of this at times.

Response back to God – Lord, help me to keep my focus on You alone. Let me not place my faith in what money can do but in what You can do with what You provide. In Jesus name. Amen.
