Always

Scripture – You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. John 15:16

Thoughts about what the Scripture means – God chose me. I didn’t choose Him first. He appointed me to go and produce fruit – always. When we do, whatever we ask in Jesus name, He will do it for us.

Application to my life – Often times, I feel like I am just tolerated and not really wanted. It is a personal insecurity and is there holding me back. But God didn’t say “Oh, she chose to follow me, so I guess I will use her.” Nope, He chose me first! He chose me and He appointment me to go and do the things He has created in me to do. He also appointed me to produce lovely fruit – always. Bad fruit is a choice of mine because He appointed me to produce good fruit – always. Fruit grows be it should also be producing more fruit – always.

When I go and produce, God will be there when I ask for things in Jesus name. Often times, I am not asking because I’m not going. I don’t know the needs. Other times I don’t ask because I’m not producing the fruit of the spirit, they aren’t active, so I am wrapped up in me gorwing and I am not looking at what God wants to produce in and through me.

Response back to the Lord Lord, I thank You for choosing me. Thank You that it has nothing to do with me and everything to do with You. Lord, help me to be obedient to go where You send me. Help me to stay attached to the vine and produce fruit. Let me boldly ask for the needs of the Kingdom in the name of Jesus that it can be produced and done by my Father!
