Large Crop

Scripture Yes, I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in me and I in him shall produce a large crop of fruit. For apart from me you can’t do a thing. John 15:5

Thoughts about what the Scripture means – Apart from God we can do nothing. The vine, we are the branches connected to him. We live in him and he lives in us we will produce much fruit.

Application to my life – The fruit in my life should be a large crop, not because of me but because I stay connected to Christ. I am a branch attached to Him. He lives in me. I choose to live in Him. It is a daily choice, but I can’t expect the large crop if I don’t stay connected. Fruit and branches die when they are not connected to the vine.

Prayer – Lord thank you for producing fruit through me as I stay connected to you.
