Prayer for Pastor Appreciation

Lord, I thank You for the shepherds that you have allowed to feed me with Your knowledge and understanding throughout my walk with You. Thank You for pastors who reflect Your heart and guide Your people in truth.

I know they have been given by You as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, for the equipping of Your body for the work of ministry and for the edifying of the body of Christ. They are a divine gift from You to build and strengthen Your Church and ai thank You for gifting them to me.

Lord, help me to obey those who rule over me, and be submissive, knowing they watch out for my soul. I know that they must give account to You, so I pray You help them to lead a life of integrity and honor. I thank You for the pastors knowing they carry a sacred responsibility to watch over the spiritual well-being of others.

I take this time Lord to recognize those who labor among and for me, those who are over me in the Lord and admonish me. I esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. My pastors deserve honor and appreciation for their faithful labor to You as they shepherd the church of God which Christ purchased with His own blood.

Thank You Lord for the pastors that have been examples in my life, may they receive the crown of glory that does not fade away and share in Christ’s eternal reward. Those who teach and nurture in the Word are worthy of support and blessing from those they serve, let them know they are loved and blessed.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of my pastors, always in every prayer of mine making request for them all with joy, for their fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now. I have gratitude for those who partner in ministry and shepherd God’s people.

Lord, let those who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine, pastors who teach faithfully. Let them Lord. be highly esteemed and honored.

Lord, continue to give them a boldness to share Your Word . You say “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? … And how shall they hear without a preacher? … How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace.” Keep Your pastors bringing the good news that leads people to salvation — a beautiful and vital calling. Lord let them be honored today and every day as they labor for You. Keep a hedge of protection around their families and marriages. Let them walk in Your ways and let them leave a legacy for You. In Jesus name. Amen.
