Heavenly Father, I lift up every student as they return to school.
I pray for those young children who are just starting their journey, help them to feel safe and secure, put in them curiosity to learn everything they can and a love for school.
Lord, for those returning after a summer break, help them to refocus their attention on learning and settle back into a routine that will be productive to learning.
Lord for those who are starting a new school this year, give them peace. Help the children to connect with others and find the place they feel like they belong.
Lord for those who are starting their final year in the school they are attending, help them to finish the year out with success and memories that will last a lifetime.
Lord, for those starting college, help them to find their own rhythm and to be able to manage their studies as well as the things that come with being an adult.
Lord, Your word says that a wise man will hear and increase his learning, I pray that every student be counted as wise. Your Word continues on that a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, I ask also that every student be counted as understanding, and that the counsel they seek will be from friends, teachers, and others in the community that will point them to You an the true source of Truth.
Lord, help the students to be kind to one another. Place a hedge of protection around them and keep them safe. Lord, if there are things being done in the dark that are against the students- regardless of the source, Lord bring it to light.
Meet every child’s needs at school and at home. Help each child to lie down in peace at night to sleep and to wake up ready to face the challenges of the day with peace, confidence and joy.
Help the children to enjoy every moment of their childhood learning to study and work hard, but also knowing they can play, relax and build positive memories that will last a lifetime. In Jesus name, amen.
