Heavenly Father on this day we honor those, who like You are willing to lay their life down for others. Thank You for the men and women that are serving in our Armed Forces, protecting both domestic and international to protect the freedoms we so often take for granted. Lord, keep a hedge of protection around them. Strengthen and encourage them. Help them to be strong and courageous. Help them to not walk in fear but to trust in Your protection and to take refuge in You.
Lord, be with their families in the absence, give them peace, meet every need physically, emotionally and spiritually. Keep unity in these families and allow your joy to surround them.
Lord be with the leaders of our Armed Forces, help them to walk in wisdom and integrity.
Lord bless our Armed Forces. In Jesus name, amen.
