The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold (Psalm 18:2).
Heavenly Father, I lift up the need for safety in the United States. There is so much violence in this world, our children are being exposed to things that used to be isolated to a television show. Lord, forgive us for our complacency in allowing ourselves to be desensitized to violence through television and video games. Children grow up thinking this is normal, the world makes standing up for yourself with violence seem normal.
At the same time teachers and schools are often prohibited from correcting negative behaviors. When police step in to do their jobs they are punished as the ones who were excessive. Lord I know our systems are not perfect and that there will always be people who overstep their role, but we need wisdom to turn the tides back towards safety and security in our nation.
The only answer for lawlessness is the You Lord. Jesus is the light of the world and the fullest expression of Your love. I ask Lord for Americans to receive a revelation of Light and The Truth; both are only found in Jesus. Lord, we need a revival!
Lord, I ask for for peace in our nation and in Israel. Lord, help Your followers to exercise our spiritual authority to destroy the works of the devil that are causing crime, chaos, and conflict in our cities and nation. Lord, crush Satan under Your feet!
Lord, I ask for wisdom, courage, and protection for our law enforcement and our first responders. Remove those that do not belong in service who have ill motive. Lord, restore justice in this nation. I ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.
