Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding! Do not forget, and do not turn away from the sayings of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; Love her, and she will guard you (Proverbs 4:5-6 LSB).
Heavenly Father, I lift up the twenty-five million Christians who are registered to vote that are not expected to vote in the presidential elections and the 65 million who do not participate in local elections, as well as the 15 million who are not registered to vote help them to see the importance of participating in the government that we are under the authority of. Lord, I stand in the gap and repent for the indifference, irresponsibility, complacency and for doing nothing and then complaining about our communities, state, and nation. Elections are changed by the elect. Lord, let your Church exercise her voice through her vote, we are Your elect in this nation.
I pray for wisdom for every person who chooses to cast a ballot, especially for first-time voters. I pray that You will help every person to discern the times we are living in and vote their values. It is not enough to pray for our nation, faith is good, but faith without action is dead. Compel us to action Lord.
Lord, I pray against invalid and illegal votes, compromised tabulation machinery, and every attempt to cheat that is in the works for this election. Bring those things done in the dark into the light. Let this election be the most honest, uncorrupted one in US history.
Lord, I also pray for Israel. Lord, protect Your chosen people. Give the leaders wisdom to know how they should respond and the best way they can meet the needs of your Jewish people. Lord, protect the innocents that are trapped in these war torn areas. Provide a way for them to get to safety. Lord bring peace to that area of the world.
