Prayer for Spiritual Leaders

Heavenly Father, I lift up the spiritual leaders of this country to You right now. Lord, I know they have always been under attack, but the enemy is relentless and it feels that they are being attacked even more personally and against their family. Lord I pray a hedge of protection around the spiritual leaders of this country, their children, their spouse, and family members. Empower Your leaders with boldness to stand and preach the truth of Your Word without compromise and without apology. Give them wisdom in applying Your Word to the socio-political issues of this day.

Lord, I pray that You would help spiritual leaders and their family to resist temptation. Give them strength to walk in the Spirit and not give in to fleshly desires. Lord, help them to stay humble so they do not give in to the pride of life. Surround them with helpers, and give them the wisdom to delegate control so everything is not on their shoulders in running Your church. Lord, help the spiritual leaders to stand on Your Word instead of succumbing to the conformity of the world’s culture.

Lord, I pray for a deeper relationship with You for every spiritual leader in this country. Cultivate their desire to depend on You, to be a vessel for You to flow through and a fresh anointing that will help them to press further into You. Lord, let every spiritual leader understand the need for, and develop, a personal prayer life so that prayer will also be cultivated within Your body. Help them to take the spiritual authority that You have placed within them to equip those who sit under their teachings to do the work of the ministry.

Help the spiritual leaders of this country to walk in integrity, with a clear conscious in all their behavior, living honorably for Your Kingdom. Strengthen them, give them clarity of vision, and surround them with people who will run with the vision You have placed within them to further Your Kingdom.

Lord, I pray for the spouses of the spiritual leaders in this country. Lord, strengthen them as they walk alongside their spouse as a helpmate. Encourage them when the journey is difficult. Shield them from the attacks of the enemy. Help them to walk with integrity and bind them together in love and unity with Your servant. Lord, fill them with a fresh infilling of Your Spirit. Let Your fruit be evident in their lives for the world to see.

Lord, I pray for the children of the spiritual leaders of this nation. Lord, order their steps and keep them on the straight and narrow path. Help their parents to train them us as they are bent towards You and not squelch Your Spirit within them due to pressure to conform to the expectations of the world as PKs. Strengthen them in their walk, place godly supports in their lives that will help them in their journey with You.

Lord, bless the spiritual leaders of this nation, You know the needs they have in the physical, the spiritual, the financial, and the mental. Give them wisdom and guidance to walk in Your path for their lives. Thank You for their sacrifice to shepherd Your flock. I ask these things in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
