Heavenly Father, I lift up the youth of America to You right now. They need to encounter You and know You. Their view has been tainted by social media and the failures of those around them to represent You at all times. I stand in the gap and repent for the shortcomings that they are paying a price for now.
Lord, You are the answer for the love and acceptance they seek. You are the justice they cry out for on behalf of themselves and others. Lord let them encounter You, move among the generations. Pour out Your Spirit upon them, let them be filled with Your power, let them experience Your love, Your peace and Your joy! Fill their mouths with prophesy, fill their eyes with vision, fill their sleep with dreams that draw them closer to the God they don’t even realize they are seeking. Allow them to see the gifts You have placed within them is for a kingdom purpose, and let them pursue You with the boldness they live life with now.
Lord I pray that You would help Your body develop a passion for these generations that are rising up, help us to mentor, encourage and strengthen Your young people to use their gifts for Your kingdom purpose. Give us wisdom how to best reach and support them instead of just assuming that our way is the best. Mentored by Paul, You used young Timothy to shape a nation. Lord, help us to mentor our young people in America to shape the world for Your Kingdom. They have such tenacity, let it be used for You!
Lord train up these children in Your ways. Help all generations to continue in the things which we have learned and been assured of pertaining to Your Kingdom. Help us to have confidence knowing from whom we have learned these things. Let us remember from childhood we have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make us wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. For those not raised in Your Word, Lord redeem the time. Place people in their lives that will plant, water and help grow the gifts You have placed within them.
Lord I thank You for the work You are doing in colleges and universities around this nation. I pray that it would become the norm, not the exception that young people would encounter You and be trained in righteousness as they are being trained for their careers. Christianity doesn’t just belong in the four walls of a church but is to be lived out in every area of our life. Increase their faith, and decrease the world’s influence on their souls.
Lord, I come against every attack of the enemy that is trying to confuse or disrupt this generations identity in You. You are the Creator of the world and every person in it. You do not make mistakes. Bind the work of confusion that is coming against our youth. Help them to learn, know and walk in their true identity in You. Help them to know that they are loved and that they belong to You. They are blessed by You with every spiritual blessing. Remind them they are chosen and have great purpose. They are accepted and forgiven. Lord give them wisdom to do great things for Your Kingdom.
Lord, protect their hearts, their minds and their souls. Increase their faith that they will have a shield to protect themselves from the fiery darts of the enemy. Lord, help them to know that they can step out in faith now, they do not need to wait until they are old, they can be used by You right now. They have been labeled Generation Z and Generation Alpha – let them be the beginning of a great move of God even in our time! I pray Lord that You would guide their steps. Keep them on the straight and narrow path. Help them to live lives worthy of the calling You have placed on them. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray. Amen.
