Prayer for America

Heavenly Father on this day of prayer for America, I thank You for bringing so many together to stand in the gap for this country. Lord we repent for the national sins that have sought to oppress others, the greed, the death of the innocent children, the idols that we have worshipped, and pride that have been a foundation of our nation, forgive us and wash away the remnants of these actions. We tear down the alters that have been set up as the church remained silent in our nation. Thank You for the blood that has been shed to cover our sins and wash us white as snow. Lord, there are many things that are positive that this nation was built upon, freedom of religion, balance of power, and biblical principles reinforce these things again in our nation. Help Your body to rise up and speak Your truth in love and stand for what is right.

Lord, be with our leaders help them to consider You and the people they serve with every word they speak, every action they take. Help them to walk with integrity, a pure heart and clean hands. Give them wisdom and knowledge.

Lord, we bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that You would grant your children, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might through Your Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
