My Hope Is in You

To me Lord,

that means that

You are the question

and the answer,

the beginning

and the end.

When I feel like

all is lost,

You are there reminding me,

You go after

those who are lost.

When I feel like

I’m at my end,

my hope in You says

this is just the beginning

of something better.

When things look bad,

my hope is in knowing

Your plans for me

are good,

so it must not be over

but instead

is just a step to grow

and learn something new

that will prepare me

for the good ahead.

Lord help me keep

my hope in You!
