God Has Appointed These

Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:27-28

As Christians we have individual roles to play, as well as a part in the larger corporate body. Both are an individual responsibility. There are roles that God appoints to the church that often times are being assigned by men.

Lord, help me to fulfill Your calling on my life and to accept the anointing You have called me to. Help me to not take on an assignment of man that only comes from Your appointing. Help me to step out in Your appointment, regardless of man’s assignment on my life.
