Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:2-3

This is one of these Scriptures that as a writer, I love. I also love it as a therapist and coach. Research shows that writing down your vision makes it more likely to take place. God already knew this. He says “Write the vision and make it clear so the goal can be met.”

People can only run with goals that they know. Sometimes goals don’t happen immediately. They won’t happen until God’s appointed time. If it is God’s will, it will happen if we follow through on the goal.

God is still working things out in my life. I know there are goals that I have written down, that I am still pursuing. They have not yet come to pass. There are also goals I feel came from God that I did not follow through on. I have faith it will happen, if I am obedient, in His timing.

Lord, as You give me visions, help me to write down clearly and run with it. Help me to have others that are also suppose to come along side me and run with the vision. Where I have forgotten to write it down, help me to remember and take the opportunity to write it down. Help me to run with it allowing You to redeem the time I have wasted. Lord I repent of the disobedience and wasted time. Help me to run with the visions that You have given me and wait on You until it comes to pass.
