Waiting on Him

O Lord, be gracious to us; we have waited for You.
Be their strength every morning,
Our salvation also in the time of distress. Isaiah 33:2

Some translations say “Be our strength and salvation“, asking for God to show mercy as we wait on Him.

The Bible says the Lord is our Strength. I know He is my Salvation. Yet, I don’t always wait on Him. Sometimes I try to do things in my own timing and my own strength. I often try to save myself from circumstances that I don’t want to be in instead of waiting on Him.

Lord You have been gracious to me. I am learning to wait on You. Be my strength always and let me remember You are my salvation.
