My Soul Waits

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
And I wait for His word.
My soul waits in hope for the Lord
More than the watchmen for the morning;
Yes, more than the watchmen for the morning. Psalm 130:5-6

David knew the importance of watchmen to keep him safe. He also understood his reliance on God was more important. He knew waiting on the Lord was the key to success. A word from the Lord is what can carry on in times of spiritual attack. Knowing what God says is truth, which is always greater than fact. David’s hope was in the Lord, and so is mine.

Lord, I know at times I have jumped the gun. But I want my soul to wait on You. I have learned You are the best way in all things.
