Wait For Your Words

I rise before dawn and cry for help;
I wait for Your words. Psalm 119:147

I start my day with God. It is usually before dawn, but not always. I know I need a word from the Lord in order to help my day be focused on Him. At times it is a direct Word for the day. Other days it is more of like nourishment for my soul that just keeps me grounded in Him.

It is like choosing to eat every day. Sometimes it’s just food. Sometimes it is more meaningful like when I get my favorite foods or share a meal with people I care about. But sometimes it is a food that fills a deep hunger.

In my experience God Word is the same way. There are days I hunger for it more than others.

Lord, thank you for speaking to me both through Your written word and through Your spirit. Lord let me every day, wait for Your Words. I love and praise You.
