Wait on the Word

May those who fear You see me and be glad,
Because I wait for Your word. Psalm 119:74

I hope that others see me and are glad. I can not say I always wait on the Lord, but I am consistently in God’s word. I want to be in season and out of season prepared for sharing His word. I want to be able to speak life into a situation and that means speaking God’s Word.

I prepare my heart before I have contact with those outside my home, but that doesn’t mean at times I haven’t waited on this word. It is possible to pull from the Word without Holy Spirit telling you to. It is also possible to continue past what God has laid on your heart to share. I have done both and had to repent and at times apologize. The humbling experience is a definite deterrent for not waiting on the Lord. I’m still not perfect but so much better. The Bible is a weapon against the enemy not people. It is to be used for reproof, correction, instruction and righteousness of believers and under the leading in Holy Spirit.

Lord thank You for Your forgiveness and grace for the times I have used Your Word as a weapon instead of waiting on a Word from You or just keeping my mouth shut. Lord I waited upon Your Word, for those who fear You will be glad that they see me. Let me only speak as You want.
