They soon forgot His works;
They did not wait for His counsel, Psalm 106:13
This scripture is about the fickle memory of the Israelites. Delivered the miraculously from Egypt and provided for them yet they would quickly grumble wanting to return to captivity rather than depend on God. It’s easy to want to say “I would never”, but I know that I can be just as fickle.
There’s something about the comfort and control that calls out to people. Comfort and control us from walking in the fullness of what God has for us. Both make it easy for us to separate ourselves from the mighty things God has done. I believe that we have to move past comfort to get to the growth. We have to let go the desire to control and surrender our will to his so we can receive the very best he has for us.
Lord I love you and I pray that I never again take for granted all that you have done. That I would learn to wait on you and your council so that my success will be for your kingdom glory only amen
