”Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed. Make me know Your ways, Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.“. Psalms 25:3-5

It can feel terrible to wait. It can feel foolish to wait as people skeptically look on in question if God will really come through. It can feel foolish when you wait despite everything seemingly pointing to nothing happening or worse, the opposite is happening. But the Lord tells us when we wait on Him, we will not be ashamed. When we wait on Him, we are to let Him teach us. We are to let Him show us His ways in the waiting. He will show us the Truth. His way and His truth are things to help us focus on Him in the waiting. His truth can flush out our fleshly desires, things we may think we are waiting on that aren’t part of His will. Waiting on Him keeps us out of trouble.
Lord, I don’t want to be ashamed because I am waiting on things that aren’t of You. Lord make Your way known to me. Teach me to see and walk in Your path. Lead me to and teach me Your truth. You are my salvation. I will wait on You.
