Prayer leads to Restoration, Healing and Forgiveness

Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. James 5:14-16

God calls us to go get prayer when we are sick, to call on the elders to pray and anoint us. This will allow for restoration and healing, but can also lead to the forgiveness of sin.

We are also called to confess our sins to one another. Confession also brings healing. Prayers, when it lined up with the word of God accomplish much!

One of the things I have done off and on throughout the years is to write down prayer requests. It is such a blessing to come back and see all the things that God has done. I can literally see a living, breathing, miracle or testimony of God. That builds faith in a way that can’t be matched, to know I prayed and God answered. As a result I am blessed to know God answers prayer! He still heals! He forgives. He still restores.

Lord, thank You for the Ministry of Prayer. Thank You that in praying for needs of others, I can see Your faithfulness. Help me to be diligent to bring my needs and to confess my sins in alignment with Your Word. Help me to be a minister of Your reconciliation, forgiveness and healing!
