A Prayer for You

For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light. Colossians 1:9-12

I love this prayer written by Paul to the church at Colossians. It is a beautiful prayer that any believer would be honored to have prayed over her. This is such a peace and joy in my life when I know someone is praying for me. That it’s continual, is even more special. Want a prayer warrior asking that I would have the knowledge of the will of God. I want a warrior praying that I will walk in a manner worthy of a calling of God on my life. Want someone praying that my behavior would be found by God to show him respect, that I would bear fruit in good works, that my knowledge of God is increasing and thy would be strengthened with all power. I want someone to declare that I am steadfast, patient, joyous, thankful and qualified Saint of Light. Consider this, I know if I want someone to pray this way for me then I need to pray that way for others. If I want to receive, I must first give.

Lord, I pray for those reading this, for my friends, my family, my clients and others that are in my circle of influence that each may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so they can each walk in a manner worthy of You Lord. I pray that they please You in all respects. I pray that they bear good fruit, fruit that remains in every good work and that they would increase in knowledge of God. Strengthen them Lord with all power, according to Your glorious might. Help them attain steadfastness and patience, joyously giving thanks to You. Help them to know that they have been qualified to share in the inheritance of the Light. In Jesus name Amen
